My plan:
Once i have received a job offer from a company that I wish to work with I will begin my employment with them. It should all go well but if it doesn't go as well as planned I will move onto my 'plan B'. My contingency plan would be to contact well known production companies which produce TV shows. Specifically Motorsport production companies. If they do not have any positions at the time of looking I will continue to look for other employment. This will still be in the media industry but will be with Photography Agencies to do with sports photography. I have recently contacted some photography agencies who work on sports photography and am awaiting a response. If they come back to me with a position I would end the job that I was currently in as it would be more suited for me and more enjoyable. As a final resort I would consider the option of returning to education and going to University. Courses can be found in grid in other post.
Other Options:
- Photographic Assistant
- Management: Media and Marketing
- Media Sales Consultant
- Photo editor / Retoucher
- Webdesigner
- Web Developer
- Photographers Helper
Applying for Dream Job:
I would like to work for a Motorsport company and be a photographer / videographer. Below are some screenshots from the Redbull webpage.
I have applied using the online website.
Also have been researching into Mercedes Motorsports.
In the box on the 'apply' page i have asked if they would consider me for work experience or an apprenticeship role.
Other Contacts in the field that I'm interested in:
Actionimages.com
Actionimages is a Sports photography agency who cover all sports. They have offices across the globe and have a head office in London. I am going to contact them via email and attach a CV to see whether work experience is available or even an apprentice position.
Other Agencies:
A similar agency named WellOffside caught my eye looking online. I am also going to contact them.
