P2 Evaluate your own qualities
Relevant Experiences:
- Have the ability to use and control a DSLR camera.
- Also can use Adobe software packages such as Photoshop, Premier Pro and Indesign.
- Can edit photographs confidently using professional editing techniques in Photoshop.
- Can confidently edit a short film / music video.
- Have the ability to organise a team to produce a film.
Music Video Roles:
Managed the team and organised the overall running of the project. Organised the team and arranged the location details. Overall production role. Also edit the final cut.
Documentary Making: Cinematographer, organiser, producer, editor.
Animation: Producer, animator, director.
Special Effects Video: Actor, Editor, helper.
Areas to Develop:
I think that I need to devlop my concentration skills. I can concentrate for a small period of tie but then I can get distracted and get off task. This skill will need to improve as I could be at a desk for a long period of time. Also the skill of using a graphic tablet could be improved. I think that because I am not very confident in using one correctly.

P3
Resources to help me reach my goals:
- Create a portfolio
- Build a client list
- Make a marketing plan if wanting to set up own self employed business.
- Acquire the right tools / skills.
Overall i think that i can access resources to achieve my goals. As i have access to equipment, contacts and most of the other resources. I also have conacts from college who can help me on my way to achieve my goals. I think that gaining experience in the desired sector could be a problem or be harder to gain as there are lots of people trying to get into the same sector of the media industry. To try to ovver come this i will apply for apprenticeship scheme and also try for internships. By doing this it should hopefully get me the experince to go into a job in the industry.

P4
My plan:
Once i have received a job offer from a company that I wish to work with I will begin my employment with them. It should all go well but if it doesn't go as well as planned I will move onto my 'plan B'. My contingency plan would be to contact well known production companies which produce TV shows. Specifically Motorsport production companies. If they do not have any positions at the time of looking I will continue to look for other employment. This will still be in the media industry but will be with Photography Agencies to do with sports photography. I have recently contacted some photography agencies who work on sports photography and am awaiting a response. If they come back to me with a position I would end the job that I was currently in as it would be more suited for me and more enjoyable. As a final resort I would consider the option of returning to education and going to University. Courses can be found in grid in other post.
Other Options:
- Photographic Assistant
- Management: Media and Marketing
- Media Sales Consultant
- Photo editor / Retoucher
- Webdesigner
- Web Developer
- Photographers Helper
Applying for Dream Job:
I would like to work for a Motorsport company and be a photographer / videographer. Below are some screenshots from the Redbull webpage.
I have applied using the online website.
Also have been researching into Mercedes Motorsports.
In the box on the 'apply' page i have asked if they would consider me for work experience or an apprenticeship role.
Other Contacts in the field that I'm interested in:
Actionimages.com
Actionimages is a Sports photography agency who cover all sports. They have offices across the globe and have a head office in London. I am going to contact them via email and attach a CV to see whether work experience is available or even an apprentice position.

A similar agency named WellOffside caught my eye looking online. I am also going to contact them.
